Training is available to both novices and experienced operators.

- 30 mandatory mutiple choice questions (MCQs) in 45 minutes, pass mark is 80%

Travel over varying terrain including rough undulated ground
Travel up and down substantial inclines
Manoeuvre the excavator in confined areas
Prepare the machine to excavate
Excavate below ground level on a variety of excavations in different ground types
Place spoil into various sizes of vehicles
Grade, spread and level different types of terrain
Remove and re-attach buckets
Place the excavator in the safe park position
Explain the loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter
